Peace, Love and Polish

I never used to bother using the free gifts in magazines after face wipes from one left me with dreadful skin, but after I was desperate for mascara and ended up using a free sample which turned out to be brilliant, I had no hesitation about using this nail varnish.

I've shopped at Missguided a few times and have always found the clothes to be of good quality. When clothing brands try make up, I'm always a little bit sceptical, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Missguided!

 Cute packaging.

 Bright colour.

 After one coat.
After two coats.

I found this product so easy to apply and it dried so quickly! The colour in the last picture doesn't quite do the colour justice, the orange is much brighter, like in the second picture.

Available online are currently five colours at £5 each.
I'm currently devoted to Barry M and Models Own, but after using this, I'm tempted to purchase another colour of theirs. I'm going to wait to see how long it lasts though, as I'm still yet to find a nail varnish that doesn't chip after less than a day.

Have you used any Missguided nail varnishes? What did you think of them? How long did they last?

*Edit: After less than a day, chipping occurred. I do however think it is mainly down to the condition of my nails, as my sister also tried out this varnish and hers lasted longer than mine.

Flutter those lashes

I have recently started wearing false eyelashes religiously. For Christmas I got a bulk pack of 40 pairs, however the glue that was sent with the eyelashes was terrible. It was watery, didn't work and stung my eyes, making them sore. Because of this, I didn't bother wearing them until recently. I wore them for a night out and even since then, I've wore them nearly every day, yes that includes when I'm not even leaving the house. I was using Technic eyelash glue from an old pair I'd bought a while back and I had been looking online for somewhere to buy eyelash glue of good quality and a reasonable price.

After having no luck online, I went into Bodycare one day, expecting to have to buy another pair of eyelashes I didn't need, just for the glue, when I couldn't actually find the eyelashes and I was refusing to spend over £5 on some just for the glue. Luckily, as I was about to give up, I noticed these!

A three pack of technic eyelash glue, for £2!

The packaging and design is very simple, yet I think with the black/grey/white colour scheme, it looks smart and professional. They are cased in a small plastic box and I don't have any complaints, you can't expect much more for £2.

A small bottle like this will last me around 3 weeks, when wearing eyelashes every day, so at 66p a bottle, it works out at only 3p a day, haha. For those of you who don't wear them as often, for instance only when going on a night out, the glue once opened lasts for approx. three months.

The applicator is just a simple stick with a slanted end, making it easy to apply to the false lashes.
I have actually heard of people putting the glue onto their eyelids and then putting the eyelashes onto them. I'm not sure if many people do that and actually find it works, but I'd recommend applying the glue to the false eyelashes, waiting 20-30 seconds for the glue to go tacky and then pressing the eyelashes down into your lash line. I find that works best and my eyelashes stay on all day and they've stayed on all night as well before, as I fell asleep wearing them.

Overall, for the price and quality of this glue, I would definitely recommend it!

I want to go to the seaside

I've spent the last week camping in North Wales, in Shell Island, which is one of the largest camping sites in Europe at 450 Acres. I went there with four of my friends, with myself and Kyle getting the train, while the other three went down the car. That had to be done considering the amount of luggage that's needed for camping, there was no room in the car for us!

This is Shell Island Beach, the weather doesn't look amazing, but it was sunny enough that I got a tan!

This is a waterfall not far from the camp site, I was too scared to climb up, so Kyle took my camera and got this picture.

The view one night from our tents.

Drinking on the beach ends with sand filled beer bottles.

 This picture is just fab.

Slightly overpriced, but the chips were pretty nice.

 Playing air hockey - I lost 4-6

 Barmouth Beach

The rocky beach.

BBQ food on the rocky beach

 Skittles Vodka

I'm not sure why I did this, but I did.

Llanbedr Train Station, which is pretty much a bus shelter.

Doritos and Salsa on the train home.

In Llanbedr

My tips for camping would be:
Take a lot of food! It's expensive to buy one you're there.
Make sure you have fire wood, that is also expensive.
Lights/Torches/Lanterns are a must! Our lanterns broke and we ended up with just two small torches, between five of us, it wasn't fun.
Keep the campsite clean, it's annoying having to dedicate an hour to cleaning it up.

Clothing-wise, I'd suggest taking shorts and a lot of tights, so you can vary them depending on the weather and they don't take up much room in your case/bag
A hoody, joggers and socks for when it's cold at night.
Dolly shoes for the beach, trainers like converse for the campsite as it gets damp over night.
Dry hair shampoo and face moisturiser!

Such a pretty little thing

I said I wasn't going to blog this week, due to personal reasons, but I couldn't help myself!
I'm going camping for a week tomorrow though, so I definitely won't be posting next week.

So today in England the weather was actually decent, the ran has finally stopped!
Apparently 18 degrees, which is the best it's been in months. Because of this, I decided to dress a bit summery, but not too much. I hate seeing people in a tiny amount of clothing just because the sun is out, it doesn't mean it's actually that warm, plus I don't really want to see 12 year olds in skimpy clothing, nor old men with their tops off!.

I'm wearing the playsuit I bought from Primark last year, it hasn't been warn since last summer and I felt like it was a waste if I didn't wear it today. I paired it with some black tights and a black blazer, as there is a bit of a chill in the air.

As you can see, it's light blue with a dark blue and orange floral pattern and three buttons down the centre. I worn Barry M peach melba nail varnish with this.

I'm giving my hair a rest from extensions and straightening for the time being, so I'm wearing my hair in a top not for the foreseeable future, but I think it's cute and gives a more professional, smart look.

I think an orange blazer would look great with this and I really want to get a coloured one, rather than always wearing my black one.

Any suggestions for where I should shop to get one of good quality that isn't too expensive?

WIP #1: Everything was great this time last week.

1. Coventry with my now ex-boyfriend. 2. Forever annoyed with the weather.
3. Walking home in dreadful weather conditions. 4. Started getting into drawing again.
5. Company and Sweets. 6. Made Chocolate Concrete.
7. Making my dog model in the park. 8. Pink vodka made using skittles.
9. Denim shirt and necklace combo is my favourite atm. 10. Party bag sweets at my Granddads.
11. Vain moment. 12. Walk in the park with my nephew.

Thought I'd jump on the bandwagon of 'my week in pictures' posts.
These are all from my Instagram, which I recently got. (CaffrinC if you're interested)

My week was great up until Sunday, when my boyfriend of 19 months and I broke up. For that reason, I don't think I'll be posting again this week, although I'm sure no one is bothered by that, haha.  I just don't feel in the mood to blog properly, I need to just chill out and clear my head.

Eyebrow Envy

Eyebrows are becoming a more and more important feature in peoples make-up routines. I've noticed recently the increase in girls filling their eyebrows in to create a more dramatic/neat/polished look and I am also one of those girls. I first plucked my eyebrows at the age of eleven and ever since I've always taken care of them. It was about two years ago that I started filling them in, using Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in Black Brown and looking back they did start off slightly too dark and thick.

One tip from me would be to experiment with different colours and shapes to find out what suits your face shape well. Don't copy someone else's eyebrow shape, because more often then not, it won't suit you like it suits them.

I know use Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in Dark Brown, the colour is lighter than my head hair, but I'm quite sure I read somewhere your eyebrows should be a couple shades lighter than your hair, if you have dark hair of course.

To shape and manage my eyebrows, I've tried plucking, professional waxing, waxing strips and today I had them threaded!
My friend told me about the place she goes to and it's £2.50 for eyebrow threading! Now although it's pretty cheap, it doesn't mean they don't do a good job. My eyebrows are lovely and so much easier to fill in now that I have better shaping. Me being the perfectionist that I am has noticed some hairs which should have been removed, but they are easily plucked, so overall I'm really happy.
I'd definitely recommend threading, especially for that price! It's been a while since I had my eyebrows waxed, but I'd say threading hurts less and is so much quicker than plucking.

Eyebrows frame your face and can change your look instantly.

Experiment, have fun, look good!

If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it.

My current dilemma in life is the fact that there are so many beautiful rings I have fallen in love with, yet I have this weird issue with rings and I can literally not wear them for more than ten minutes without getting irritated by them, so I end up taking them off. There is also the fact that despite claiming to be a small size, rings rarely fit and as you may be able to see in the picture below on the skull ring, there is selotape wrapped around the back so it fits me!
This is my currently collection of rings, the small amount due to never actually wearing rings.

Pink Oval:, Black Rose: New Look, White Flower: Primark,

Zebra: New Look, Cross: Forever21, Skull: eBay

These are the rings I'm currently in love with, particularly the large rabbit, as I adore them and they remind me of Alice in Wonderland. I want it more than life, but there is no point spending my money on it.

Fangs and Cross: New Look, Both Rabbits: Topshop, Skull and Heart: River Island.

Make Vodka the first drink of the day

This was outfit for when my boyfriend and I went for a meal yesterday. It was just a casual meal before the cinema, although going to the cinema never ended up happening, so we bought a pick'n'mix and went back home.
The top was one he had brought me for my birthday, two months ago and I hadn't got round to wearing it until yesterday. It's a cream blouse with leopard print collar from Republic, which I wore with my New Look black skinny jeans, blazer and floral scarf. It seems I was on a bit of a New Look hype yesterday.
Due to the weather in Britain being dreadful, it wasn't the best outfit choice for when it's raining, dolly shoes had puddles in them and my jeans stuck to my legs, but I at least liked how the outfit looked!

The only problem I have with skinny jeans is them actually staying up!
Does anyone else have that problem, where they fit fine on your legs, but they fall as you walk? Or is it just my lack of a bottom that causes that?

p.s. Vodka actually was my first drink of the day.

No one seemed to notice seeing from smoke screen eyes

This outfit is from a couple of weeks ago when me and my friends visited a tea shop not far from where we live. It was really cute, there were proper little tea pots and tea leaf strainers and the most beautiful cupcakes ever.
Anyway, the weather that day was quite warm, so I couldn't deal with jeans and opted for a skirt instead.
When I got this skirt I was thrilled but have only been able to wear it a few times, I keep waiting for my next opportunity! It's from H&M and I teamed it with a Ramones T-shirt which I bought of eBay over a year ago, along with my Doc Martens. The outfit had a kind of punky, yet girly look to it, which I love.
I find it difficult to be dresses totally girly, hence why I wear my Docs with pretty floral dresses all the time, yet I don't like feeling too grungy, so I try to add a girly aspect to my outfit. I think that sums up my style as a whole. Girly grunge.
